On a personal note to all of you that fallow and read my tutorials and articles etc.. Michele and I got Married!!
Oh Yeah!! It was the greatest day ever and I have over 1400 photos from Kelly Lyle Photography to play with, edit, or use for tutorials, etc… The weather was excellent for October although a tad windy and brisk. Michele looked absolutely gorgeous and wait to you see these pictures!
I also just wanted to thank everybody for all the comments and emails which helps keep the site going strong and on track even though I have slowed down on adding new tutorials lately. I try and do the best I can, but we both have full time 40+ hour jobs, and the photography business on top of those. In addition to all that I maintain this website as well as my other site SonyAlphaLab.com all by myself.
Since we had Layla our time has pretty much been cut down to nothing as far as photography bookings go, but were starting to get a little momentum again now that Layla is just over a year old so that is cool
Were still working on our studio renovation in the downstairs of our home, but it is making progress and should be usable in a few months for sure!! Once the studio is done were planning on opening for portrait sessions again a few days a month. Were really looking forward to having the studio at home and Michele is really happy that she will be able to start shooting portraits again as it’s been a while for her.
I’m going to create another article for this request, but I wanted to put this invite out here as well:
I’m looking for somebody that is a good writer and extremely enthusiastic about photography. There is lots of room for different types of articles including: tutorials, reviews, news, comparisons, round-ups, photos, recommendations etc… Have a blog or site already? You can share your articles on many sites at the same time!! What is the incentive you might ask?? Getting your work and name out there is one incentive. Not having to maintain or worry about the website technical stuff as I will take care of all that. Your work is your work, If you want to use it on another website such as your own, or another that is totally up to you. There is also a financial incentive that we can talk about off air
Please let me know if your interested and I will get back to you with more details on what were looking for specifically etc.. Contact Us
Now for some wedding pics:
Again these photos were taking by our great friend Kelly Lyle, edited by me
Also, be sure to Click on the photos for a nice large Gallery style view and read the Captions for additional info on the images.
A little fun:
This shot was for me and I asked Kelly to take an HDR -2,0,+2 with my 5D Mark II and the 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye. It looks a little wacky, but I really love it as it takes in the whole scene and the editing adds a bit of a surreal look to the image. I love how the Shadow forced Kelly into the shot making the Group Portrait complete for us
The Master Himself: Kelly Lyle
